Every order is important to us because we know how important it is to you. Hence, we intend to please every customer with beautiful flowers and accommodating service and we welcome your comments and inquiries. Also, if you are not completely satisfied with the quality of one of our products, then please contact us immediately and we will promptly take the appropriate action.
Please note delivery confirmations are not sent in real-time, they are generally sent when the driver returns with a delivery slip after a successful delivery. In the event the driver returns to the shop outside of normal business hours, the delivery confirmation may be sent the next available business day.
Specific Times: We are unable to guarantee delivery at or by a specific time.
IN THE EVENT YOU PROVIDE 24 HOUR NOTICE, excluding Sundays, you may request a time frame, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note your 3 hour requested time frame, between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM, in the "Delivery Instructions" box when ordering. This is not valid for Mother's Day week, Valentine's week, and additional holiday weeks.
Our *free delivery for local online orders includes delivery to most areas of Chesapeake and Portsmouth, VA only. We do not deliver to Naval facilities or locations where a pass is needed for entrance. We may accept orders to Virginia Beach, Suffolk, and Norfolk, with a minimum delivery charge of $30 added, on an order by order basis. If your order is outside of our delivery area, we will attempt to contact you for an alternate, local delivery address. If we are unable to reach you by the phone number provided in your contact information, or an alternate local address is not available, we will refund your order. For large orders, we may offer an extended area for delivery service, which is why we refund on an order by order basis. Please contact us for details or with questions.

Same Day Delivery: If you order before 1:00 pm in the recipient's time zone, we can typically deliver the flowers the same day Monday through Friday. For same-day service on Saturday please order by 12:00 pm. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following business day. Special exceptions may be made for local funeral services, but are not guaranteed. Please call for availability.
Specific Times: We are unable to guarantee delivery at a specific time, but you may request a time frame in the special instruction box when ordering, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Delivery confirmations are not sent in real-time.
Delivery Times: Normal delivery times are 10 am until 5 pm daily for orders going to a business, until 6 pm for orders to a residence, hotel, or hospital, and until 2 pm for orders going to a high school. Later times may be available to accommodate funeral services. During major holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, we operate at extended hours.
Funeral Homes: If you have selected a delivery date that is before or after the actual viewing we will deliver to the viewing per the funeral home instructions. If you have ordered a funeral viewing on Sunday and it is too late to deliver on Saturday, we will contact the funeral home to verify that there is a viewing or service on Monday and reschedule the order. If you have ordered too late to make the funeral service we will call to let you know quickly so that you can make other arrangements or have something sent to the home of the family. If you do not know the zip code or exact address of the funeral home we will look it up for you.
High Schools: High schools do not accept deliveries for students. Please send teacher's gifts to the high school and any student orders to their residence. Orders to high schools should be placed early because they usually must be received by 2 pm.
P.O. Boxes: We are unable to deliver flowers to a P.O. Box or an A.P.O. address.
For Residential Delivery If No One is Home: If the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, the delivery person may leave the arrangement in a place for the recipient to retrieve when they return, such as with a neighbor, or leave a message for the recipient to call to arrange for re-delivery or pick-up at our store location. The driver may leave a door tag with instructions if a delivery has been attempted.
For Business Delivery: The business name must be listed in your order. Because orders to a business are needed before the close of business, we request 24-hour notice, during our business hours, for timed deliveries. If the recipient is not readily available to greet the delivery person, we may have a front desk person or staff member sign for the arrangement.
**If you have specific delivery instructions, in the event your recipient is not at the delivery address provided, please let us know at the time you place your order.**
Request to Leave Item at Door: The customer assumes all liability for requests to leave arrangements. We generally discourage special instructions requesting delivery to a doorstep, porch, yard or any location where the recipient cannot accept the arrangement themselves. Deep Creek Floral cannot be held responsible for missing or faulty products due to this special request.
Incorrect Addresses: If the recipient's address is incorrect and delivery was attempted to the address, there is a $10 address correction fee. Deep Creek Floral is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted to us by the customer. If such a delivery is made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase.
Canceling an Order: Same-day orders are processed immediately, and usually cannot be changed. Due to the urgent nature of florist delivered products we are unable to cancel or change orders already in process at the florist, en route, or delivered. Card Messages: The message that you write in the Card Message field is the message that is sent with the gift. We do not include or disclose any billing information with your order.
Taxes & Pricing
- Sales tax will be displayed in the checkout if applicable.
- Many products are available in Regular, Deluxe, and Premium sizes that you can upgrade to.
Vases & Containers: It is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value on glassware, wicker baskets, or other containers, due to demand or the seasonal availability of certain items.
Fresh Flowers: At Deep Creek Floral we are committed to delivering your important emotional sentiments on time and as fresh and beautiful as possible. Because of the nature, seasonality, and regional availability of flowers it is sometimes necessary to make substitutions of equal or greater value.
Balloons: Some hospitals do not allow latex balloons with an arrangement. Mylar balloons may need to be substituted for latex balloons on some orders.
Plants: For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type but may substitute it with another color. Containers for plants will be as close as possible.
Gift Baskets: Substitutions within a basket may be made with items of greater or equal value if necessary to guarantee freshness and timely delivery.
Substitutions for Special Occasions: Due to the importance of delivering orders for special occasions, such as funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, on specific days, we may make a substitution of equal or greater value to ensure timely delivery, if the flowers you requested are not available, and we are not able to contact you via the phone number(s) or email address you provided us.
